| Once there, however, the visitor will surely not be disappointed, for this is a wonderfully restored accommodation with the added bonus of having some unique characteristics. Firstly, it is slap bang on the Spanish Portuguese border. You can literally come in from the Spanish side and walk out through the other doors onto the magnificent São Mamede Natural Park in Portugal.
Trekking is possible on sign-posted tracks or with a local guide (trekking bikes can be rented). Cycling and horse riding are available within 4km distance. |

| Casa Salto del Caballo: This Finca was built in the 19th Century, directly on the border with Portugal, with fantastic views towards the Sierra de S. Mamede Natural Park. Golf course, natural swimming pool, horse riding, walking in the natural park on signposted footpaths, biking or bird watching (protected bird area) and much more... What else? Four Unesco world heritage sites to visit: Castle of Marvão in Portugal, Evora in Portugal and historic towns of Caceres and Merida in Spain. Our guesthouse boasts a family atmosphere, with a breakfast, dining room and a sitting room complete with fireplace. A continental breakfast is included. The whole house is rustic and authentically rural. We have no air-conditioning, jacuzzi or Satellite TV. But instead a very special ambient and family atmosphere. |
